I hope you had an enjoyable track out/Thanksgiving with your students!
Here are a few updates for these next three weeks leading up to the holiday break.
-We are having a R.A.C.K (Random Acts of Classroom Kindness) between our two classes. I have done this previous years and it is a great way to get students thinking and acting upon kindness. Help your students think of new and interesting ways for them to reach their kindness goals.
-Along with our competition we are going to do a community outreach project with Saving Grace Animal Rescue. My sister has worked there for many years, and they recently brought in a large amount of dogs from Puerto Rico and are in need of donations. They are asking for dog food, dog beds, blankets, towels, cleaning products (including paper towels), monetary donations and more. If you would like more information please go to the link savinggracenc.org/donation/
-After our competition/outreach project reaches its end we would like to invite you to come and celebrate our kindness and academic achievements. We will have a short celebration and gallery (we will have a few projects to showcase) from 12:30-1:00 on Dec. 21. This is a half day so if you would like to check your child out after the celebration you may do so from the classroom. Be on the lookout for a signup genius to help with the celebration.
